F21 Lace "Dress"

I got a Forever21 package in the mail today and the lacy dress I had ordered came. Now, as soon as I saw it I knew there was no way it could be worn as a dress. It's SUPER short, but it makes an awesome tunic for skinny jeans or jeans tucked in to boots. Also, the quality is really nice...a lot better than most F21 clothes. I also got these F21 skinnies, which I also really like. So, my entire outfit today is F21 :)

Decorating via etsy

I've been in this house now for 7 months and most of the walls are still bare. I just can't find pictures, print, or art I like that isn't going to drain my bank account. I don't know why I didn't think of etsy. I had been shopping and looking mostly offline.

Last night I spent some time searching through prints on etsy, and ended up buying 6 prints from one seller. i'm planning to make a collage of her prints.

rewearing my wedding dress: valentines day

Have any of you ever re-worn your wedding dress? I was married about two years ago and my wedding was very casual. It took place in a Victorian house and garden. My dress was by no means traditional. It was a simple lace slip dress that I bought at Nordstroms from about $150.

I've been thinking about re-wearing it because I love it so much and because it seems like a sentimental and romantic thing to do. I'm thinking of doing it this Valentines day. I have been playing around with styling it in a way that will not make me feel like it's my wedding day all over again. I thought about altering the sleeves, but a bunch of the girls on fashionism convinced me to keep it as is.

Despite the fact that it was raining Friday, it ended up super warm and sunny on Saturday. It actually felt like summer. I decided to put on my maxi dress and go barefoot in to the grassy field behind my house. It was lovely.

My haulage continues

Before I post more of my recent purchases, I must preface this by saying that I did sell over $300 worth of clothes and bags today at Crossroads. So, I feel somewhat justified in my gluttony :)

Urban Outfitters has a 20% off code right now (THINKSPRING) and they have a lot of cute sale stuff. I got the following:

I have wanted these shoes for a long time, but I was originally eying the teal after seeing them in the UO catalog. Oh well, I got these for signifcantly less than retail, so i'll take the black. I'll probably end up wearing the black more anyway.

 

This cute bow skirt for under $18. 

 

This ruffly meshy cream top. Probably not very flattering, but I am a sucker for stuff like this.

This lace dress. I will wear it as a tunic. It reminds me of my wedding dress. I love lace-y vintage looking things.

 

Yup, I bought a romper. lol. But fear not, I only plan to wear it to the beach and by the pool. 

1/26 OOTD

Tomorrow we have a huge launch at work, so things have been crazy and stressful. We're all having to sit in a huge conference room together and work work work. They're catering all of our meals and everything. Thankfully tomorrow this will be over!
